How does the age check actually work?

• Behavioral flagging comes first. The platform estimates your age from signals like account history and usage patterns. Most adult accounts never see a prompt. Flagged accounts do.

• Verification kicks in on a flag. Flagged users verify through a third-party provider. The default is face-based age estimation. A government-ID check is the fallback when estimation cannot decide.

• Not verifying has a cost. An unverified flagged account loses open-ended chat. For an adult wrongly flagged, that means a working account cut down to limited features until you verify or win an appeal.

Is the age verification safe for your privacy?
